Appearance: Ace has long, red hair and deep blue eyes. He is tall and almost always looks intimidating.
Personality: Ace is gruff, a bit mean and sharp-tongued. He is rarely nice to anyone, but if you somehow manage to get on his good side you'll find that deep down he's a big softy that puts on an air of anger to shield his own vulnerability. He has been through betrayal and abandonment, and pretends to think that love is a waste of time, when really all that he wants is someone who loves and cares for him.
Family: Mother (deceased), stepfather, and his biological father is out there somewhere.
Race: Human
Motives: Piratey things: Pillaging, getting drunk and robbing people. Also wants to find love (very cliche, yes, and he won't admit it to anyone)
History: When Ace was young, his father left the family, promising to return with enough money to support them. He never did, leading Ace to resent him ever since. His mother remarried, and even though Ace's stepfather was extremely wealthy, he was also cruel to them. One night when Ace was in his teens his mother and stepfather got into an argument, and Ace watched as his mother was murdered at the hands of her new husband.
Ace ran away and was soon taken in by a pirate crew, and through the years he became trusted by the captain and eventually inherited the ship, the Black Heart, and became its captain.
