So today I was thinking... man... I'm wanting to do another superhero rp, only this time I want it to be a little more difficult then love at first sight.
So.
I came up with this... Hero and Villain were friends in a school that was too close to a power plant, and Villain had a known abusive childhood environment. The Villain -instead of being an emo about it- showed little signs of this affecting him beyond his sociopathic nature and a somewhat explosive temper when excited -and it was hard to excite him for anything, but once his temper flared it burned hot like the sun in him-.
At Graduation the Villain disappeared for a few years, resurfacing as a terrible Villain who had gained the ability to set things on fire.
The Hero MUST be able to deal with this ability, through healing or otherwise, and he MUST be able to defend himself and be on the offensive with him properly. Nothing will get through to the Villain if not forced to be, and he cannot be forced through peaceful measures- nor can he be bound, as he will light a full mile radius on fire if he is incapacitated in such a way.

So I just want to make sure I have this right. "The Hero" has to have an ability to tame the man's fires and understand that talk later act now is in order when it comes to getting his point across? Is there any restrictions on the Hero?

Not specifically tame fires, but to be able to counter-balance the man's ability, yes. And as for that... not many concrete guidelines to the Hero. Except he should be someone who could be friends with a sociopathic and a bit self-centered sort of man. The man's personality is entirely up to how you wish to tackle him. At some level the Villain will care for the Hero, but not enough to stop, and certainly not enough to stop himself from hurting the Hero... just enough to keep him from killing him. The Hero can feel any way he wants about the Villain at first- I hope this to be a slow burning romance.

I know of counterbalance so that is fine. And the self centered personality should be very interesting XD. A slow, painful romance I can see turning out to be epic. It has my interest. Did you want to wait and see if someone else would want to try this out first or were you looking to jump right in?

Well I like fantasy stuff mostly, like vampires or demons or things like that, and superheros and pirates. XD I also like specific historical eras like World War II, Civil War, stuff like that, but I can do modern day too. My character can be submissive or dominant, an jerkface or nice, whatever XD But I'm up for anything, really.

Fantasy mostly. Alright. So a fantasy setting... I'm thinking lycans of different tribes, decorated and war painted demons sort of thing...

Hm, maybe we could have a character be taken prisoner by a higher-up on the opposing side? That's all I can really think up at the moment XDD

I was more thinking in terms of a rivalry of the two main sons of each tribe... maybe starting out as murderous... then more sparring... then they start talking... and one falls in love and backs away from the other... and the other gets mad and goes after him for it... and so on. We should make sure to drag out the plot with them or it'll get too easy.
