I don't get why people are really this pissed at Atros.
He's in a relationship with Lillith.
He's having sex with Lillith.
Lillith is his sexual partner, as he's in this relationship.
He's having sex with her in his own rooms.

Though it might hurt Linneus' precious feelings, Xanthe is doing nothing wrong. Idk, all this Xanthe-hate is just... blah. /slides out.

Yeah but he's totally leading Linneus on and yet completely ignoring the fact that HE KNOWS Linneus has the hots for him. If he were actually to explain to Linneus that he honestly doesn't care for him in 'that way' then I would be fine with it.

It's just, I've known people like Atros in real life and they are jerks.

Correct. If Xanthe would get off his high horse and either say ''yes'' or ''no'' to Linneus then it would be fine. However, then there's really no angry drama going on in the story.

I, personally, think Linneus can do better. Xanthe is attractive but emotionally, he fails...big time. I want Linny to have someone who has the balls to not be afraid to admit they like him. God forbid a dude likes a dude... the world will come to an end otherwise. So what, Xanthe threw a few nice statements a few times, big whoop. Liard showed more concern for Linneus and he was just a fuck toy to him.

Ah well, that's just how Xanthe is. It'll just cause Linny more grief cause we all know things will get worse before they even start to look better.

Hope Linneus gets another client soon to take his mind off of Xanthe banging Lillith.

I'm with Sam. It's obvious that Xanthe knows Linneus has feelings for him. And he must be aware that Lilith might have some for him too. And I think Atros will be enough of a jerk to mess up with BOTH. I get the feeling that Atros might be boosting his own ego by making Linneus blush for his touches and Lilith pout for his first name. lol He should put an end at least to Linneus drama with a "no" or "yes" even if he changes his answer later. Just stop tormenting our pink love >:C

Hoping Linneus will get a new client, or Liard. Or a hobby. ANYTHING.

I actually don't really get why people are either hating on Xanthe or Lilith. Xanthe is straight, so of course he sleeps with women. Yeah, he obviously has feelings for Linny and is acting like a coward, but I don't think you should judge someone because of their sexual preference. He is heterosexual, so it's understandable he's confused about admitting his feelings for a man. I hardly think having sex with someone he's physically attracted to is that much of an offence, Linneus and Xanthe are not a couple yet after all, so he's not cheating.

I don't hate Xanthe for being straight. Actually. I think I like him better that way.

Let me assure you that this opinion is for now, and it might be change as the book goes on, but right now, I dislike him because he obviously knows Linneus likes him and he's not going for a "No I'm straight. You're just my good friend, move on buddy." or "Er... Well... you se... welll.. I.... I....l-l-lo..." you know.

He should at least tell him, if he cares so much about Linneus as to punch some dude that beats him. I mean... no one should be okay knowing they're making their friend suffer... or maybe it's just my two cents here.

Xanthe's confused. He's a straight man, or close enough to one to count as one. He's seen Linneus grow up, he's seen Linneus become a whore and sleep with God knows how many people.
Probably all his life he's been thrown at women of the same standard, slept with them, gotten into the habit of it. If he's that used to being straight, then being attracted to Linneus, even a little? It probably sends his brain spiralling into a deep, dark pit of panic. It probably confuses the hell out of him, is making him doubt his sexuality and maybe even his sense of self. Figuring out your sexuality is very, very rarely easily, especially for someone of Xanthe's personality.
Now if you were like Xanthe, in a relationship already and actually faithful to that person, what do you do to reassure yourself of your sexuality? Sleep with them.

It's not only Linneus getting hurt. Xanthe isn't a robot, he's probably confused and a little bit scared underneath his eyebrow shield and... I just don't think everyone should expect him to be wonderful and fantastic and rainbows knowing exactly how to handle Linneus' feelings.
(Also, note how he's in his own rooms, so he's not even throwing it at Linneus... we only once saw Xanthe with Lillith in Linneus' line of sight. Had he not gone there, he'd never have know.)

But yes, interesting point of view. I really wish I could know how Linneus when from work to whore in that house. It might have something to do with how Xanthe keeps distance from Lin.

Oh gosh. I love this plot. I don't even care about the others <3

It's really interesting to see other persepectives on the situation. It opens up the story for me and explains it more deeply.
Now that it's more apparent that Xanthe is having his own little battle I feel sorry for him. Sexuality can be a bitch.
