Name: (Captain) James "The Hunter" Harrison
Age: 26
Picture:
dA artist: ~jddarkdeath
Height: 5'8"
Appearance: On a voyage to Afrik, The Hunter and his crew at the time got shipwrecked on the coast. While they stayed and worked on repairing their ship, some little black girls asked permission to braid Hunter's hair and he granted it to them. They plaited his hair for him and he's maintained the look ever since, though he's had to redo the work himself since his hair has grown out from his time spent in Afrik. He has very dark eyes that look black and he usually wears an eyepatch, but its purpose is for transfering from bright sunlight, to the darkness of the lower decks. He merely moves the patch when he does that, but when he knows a fight is coming on, he flips up the patch so his eyes can adjust so that his depth perception isn't off when he has a man with a sword coming after him. He wears a black overcoat most of the time and a proper captain's hat; his is a black tri-corner hat. He carries a cutlass and a pistol on his hip at all times. He also always wears black fingerless gloves at all times.
Personality: He's a bit of a suspicious fellow, and sleeps with a dagger under his pillow. He has a very harsh attitude to those that would be traitors, and usually carries out the execution details himself. He is not without mercy, but he just has none towards traitors and mutiniers. He can be a huge flirt to both women and men, though he usually doesn't sleep with women in the brothels because they can be carriers of disease. He likes his rum and mead, and makes sure his ship is stocked well with rum on their voyages.
Family: He was an orphan, and so far as he knows, his brother is captain of his own ship now.
Race: human
Motives: To plunder, pillage, and get all he can from this life before he assumes he'll burn in Hell for his crimes.
History: he got into piracy at the young age of fifteen and his brother was thirteen. They both served as Deckhands under a pirate named Morgan. They grew up on his ship for four years until the ship attracted too much attention from the British Navy. The ship made port in a makeshift fortress on a Cay in the Caribbean. When the British Navy attacked the fortress through one of it's only weak points, James was blamed and Morgan burned the Black spot into James' hand before he sentanced him to death. However, James managed to escape and he spent the next two years tracking down the real traitor. They had a duel and James won, earning his title as "The Hunter" as he swore to kill every last traitor. He burned the black spot into the traitor's hand and tossed him into the ocean before he set off to collect for himself a ship and a crew. He knew he could not return to Morgan's ship, and in effect, the raid on the fortress was the last time he saw his brother. These past four years he's sailed with a few of the same sailors, and he's been Captain over them all. He's pillaged, plundered and raided, and he feels no shame over it all. He takes from others so he can have more, and once his crewmates have spent what they've earned, they go back on the sea and do it all over again.
Other: Though he can sweep a man or woman off his or her feet, he prefers to be with men. He never says this openly, and if he does it's usually in jest so that his crew would not lose respect for him.
